It celebrates the Southeast London neighborhood (or "neighbourhood," if you must) of Deptford -- the "T" is silent -- where Squeeze was formed (and which also produced such bands as Dire Straits and Alternative TV, not to mention a host of famed shipwrights). Of course, not everyone who sees you in this handsome item needs to know that. That's what we mean when we say Worn Free offers a secret history of cool.
Manchester's own The Whip whipped the crowd into a lather on a recent installment of The Jimmy Kimmel Show, with a tip of the hat to Joe Strummer, who originally wore the Out of Control T-shirt design sported here by keyboardist Dan Saville.
The band performed their mesmerizing single "Trash," but Dan's shirt is an ode to lasting quality. Just sayin'.
