Do you recognize this beaming moppet?  She's Sammi Hanratty, who plays the plucky child version of heroine Chuck (AKA Charlotte) on TV's ultra-whimsical Pushing Daisies. 

Sammi here models the plucky child-sized version of Worn Free's John Lennon Come Together shirt, embodying the youthful spirit of Lennon's peaceful vision (while also flashing some tweener bling).

In case you're unfamiliar with the premise of Daisies, a lushly colorful, absurdly funny, wildly poetic series that's a fanciful antidote to the overly gritty procedurals, snarky dramedies and plain nasty "reality" shows clogging the airwaves, here it is: A shy young pie chef possesses the ability to revive the dead with a single touch.  But a second touch makes the recently reanimated person unalterably dead, so when he brings his childhood sweetheart back from the grave, he can't so much as kiss her.  It's all a bit of conundrum for two people who want very much to come together.

Young Sammi, however, has no such problems; everything she's touched has turned to gold.

Edwestwick

On the right side of this diptych (which recently appeared on People.com), British thespian Ed Westwick, the heartthrob co-star of TV's Gossip Girl and the upcoming Donnie Darko 2, rocks Worn Free's Joey Ramone London shirt as he makes his rugged way about town.  The actor, a native of Stevenage, U.K., and frontman of scrappy rock band The Filthy Youth, will turn 21 in a few short days -- at which point, we suppose, you could theoretically buy him a pint in some Manhattan nightspot. After all, he seems like quite an approachable bloke. 

But then there's that image on the left, in which this multi-talented Brit is seen in ... an argyle sweater, argyle socks, khaki shorts, two-tone shoes and a bow tie. 

This is how you can dress if you have the world at your feet.  And you're English.   But reader, how many times must we remind you?  Don't try this at home.

Jon Heder wears Worn Free's John Lennon This Is Not Here shirt in the comedy flick Mama's Boy, the rueful tale (out now on DVD) of a 29-year-old doofus whose blissfully arrested adolescence is thrown into chaos when his moms (Diane Keaton) takes up with a new guy (Jeff Daniels) -- and he himself is drawn to a comely girl (Anna Faris).

Fratellisvirgin

Scottish rock trio The Fratellis have a new album, Here We Stand, and it's really, really fookin' good.  Before we got our mitts on a copy we were actually anticipating it, much the way we used to anticipate albums by bands that, you know, actually cared to make good ones.   Check out lead single "Mistress Mabel" and you'll have an inkling why, if you don't already.  These guys are one of the best bands in the world right now, no joke, and if you can listen to either their breathlessly catchy debut disc, Costello Music, or the ambitious and gloriously, infectiously wonderful new one without being transported with mad glee we want nothing to do with you.

OK, we gushed a bit.  But we want you to understand how happy we were to see the boys -- pictured here at a Virgin in-store in New York's Union Square -- rocking Worn Free shirts.  Guitiarist-singer Jon (center) sports our John Lennon Come Together tee, while bassist Barry (right) wears WF's Iggy Pop Dublin Sound Studios model while flashing the new CD.  As to drummer Mince, well, we can't begrudge the man his Pantera, can we?

TBS' comedy series My Boys returns with new episodes tomorrow night.  Anticipation is high, due to some serious critical buzz (as they say out here in Tinseltown-adjacent Poserville); signs point to a show that's coming into its own in a big way, with a smart and sexy ensemble vibe that's reminding folks of Friends.

We're happy to hear all this because (1) we love TV and (2) Worn Free shirts are featured prominently on some prime My Boys real estate, namely the torso of Brendan (Reid Scott), a freewheeling DJ whose most prized possession, according to the official site, is his "collection of vintage rock T-shirts." 

Our kind of guy.  So it's no surprise to see him in, say, our John Lennon Home shirt:

We're just not sure about the Ashton Kutcher-esque implications of that headline.  Get Punked?  Au contraire; you'll feel like you're the one in on the joke when you slip on one of these cottony delights and flash our enigmatically hip designs before the eyes of the uninitiated.

Rollingbones1

Even though countless musicians have been spotted in WF tees, it never occurred to us to recommend our wares as a band uniform.  But leave it to master pop-culture photographer Allan Tannenbaum, who draped The Rolling Bones (the world's greatest Stones tribute band, we're told) in our John Van Hamersveld Skull Tongue tee for this striking Manhattan photo op.  The band had just performed for thousands of bikers who'd participated in a "Freedom Ride" to raise money for people who'd grown sick in the aftermath of the 9/11 attack.  Some 3000 choppers roared out of Hackensack, N.J., and rumbled their way past Ground Zero to a rally at Liberty State Park (and a set by the aforementioned Bones).

Nice work, everyone.  We hope to catch the skull and Bones act on the West Coast.

Regular Lost viewers -- and you can count us among those alternately riveted and puzzled hordes -- received a shock on a recent episode when (spoiler alert, if you're planning to catch the season on DVD or just have a TiVo backlog) the character of Alex Rousseau was summarily terminated.   

Alex, rebellious and lovestruck daughter of the enigmatic quasi-villain Ben Linus, was played by the radiantly gorgeous Tania Raymonde, seen here making Worn Free's Joey Ramone Punk shirt look incredibly glamorous. 

Tania first caught our eye years ago, playing the precocious (if obnoxious) Cynthia Sanders on Malcolm in the MIddle.  Though her beauty was evident, the adolescent actress primarily showed a fierce presence, a strong aptitude for comedy, and a striking ability to temper her character's pain-in-the-butt qualities with aching vulnerability.  We knew she was bound for bigger things.  By the time she appeared on Lost, she'd grown so coltishly exquisite that it took us a moment to connect her with the gawky Cynthia. 

Now that her character's gone to the great island in the sky, she's begun to expand her film work.  We look forward to her breakout role.

Kimberly Caldwell

Is former American Idol contestant and reality-licious chat hostess Kimberly Caldwell a working-class hero?  That's not really for us to say, although she looks gobsmackingly good in our John Lennon Working Class Hero shirt, as does her world-class midriff.

The Texas-born singer, who was eliminated after (perhaps mistakenly) singing Billy Joel's "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me," has a big, brassy voice and a personality to match.  This was not lost on fellow Idol player David Cook, with whom she has been going out -- or so say the people who devote their lives to tracking such things.

One thing seems certain: Should they have children together, these tots will come out wailing Bryan Adams tunes.  Is the world ready?

Libby Lavella

Who's that dark-haired lass sporting our enticing Joan Jett peacock shirt, you ask?  It's Libby Lavella, an Australian-born singer/songwriter who makes her home in the City of Angels.

We're always excited to hip people to artists we like, and Libby's a hell of a find -- not only a fresh and resourceful songwriter but also a fantastically gifted vocalist.

On May 31, Angelenos will have an opportunity to experience the range of her abilities -- first at a Room 5 gig, showcasing her winsomely appealing originals, and then, later that evening, wailing at M Bar's raucous joyfest The Classic Rock Singalong. 

At the latter event, Libby will pay tribute to her country of origin with stirring renditions of songs made famous by AC/DC and Olivia Newton-John. She says she's not worried about being typecast as an Australian.
