Robert Downey in Worn Free: "Iron Man" Now Cottony-Soft
Perhaps you are on of the, oh, seven remaining people on the planet who haven't yet seen Iron Man, in which case you require a bit of explanation as to why we're freaking out with excitement over this shot of star Robert Downey, Jr., in WF's John Van Hamersveld Crazy World Ain't It tee.
Here's the thing. The movie's incredible -- one of those rare blockbusters that's totally satisfying on every level -- and when you see it in the multiplex you can feel the audience's enjoyment whipping around the space like a scirocco. It's pure fun, and nobody is having more fun than Downey, an actor of considerable gifts who finally has the big-ticket role he's long deserved (like Depp's Captain Jack).
We've been following Downey's career for longer than some of you have been alive, and the man's wit and style have impressed us every bit as much as his personal stumbles have concerned us. But those worrisome episodes are clearly long over with. To see him so obviously comfortable in his own skin is fantastic; to see one of our shirts covering that skin is positively thrilling.
